La Bordas (Rosalie Martin) allait de places en squares, v\u00eatue d\u2019un lin blanc et flanqu\u00e9e d\u2019une \u00e9charpe tricolore\u2026 Ses admirateurs disaient : \u00abElle a du coeur la gosse !\u00bb&#8230; et ses d\u00e9tracteurs : \u00ab\u00c7a chante faux, \u00e7a durera pas !\u00bb Lorsqu\u2019elle chantait La Marseillaise, elle s\u2019enroulait lentement dans un drapeau tricolore. C\u2019est elle qui, par son interpr\u00e9tation, permit aux paroles alors centenaires de Rouget de Lisle, de devenir d\u00e9finitivement, en 1879, l\u2019hymne national de la France. Apr\u00e8s La Marseillaise que lui avait chant\u00e9e son grand-p\u00e8re, C\u2019est d\u2019 la canaille ! Eh ben ! J\u2019en suis ! connut un immense succ\u00e8s\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Dans la vieille cit\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise<br \/>\nExiste une cit\u00e9 de fer,<br \/>\nDont l\u2019\u00e2me comme une fournaise<br \/>\nA de son feu bronz\u00e9 la chair.<br \/>\nTous ses fils naissent sur la paille,<br \/>\nEt pour palais n\u2019ont qu\u2019un taudis\u2026<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;Eh bien ! J\u2019en suis !<\/p>\n<p>Ce n\u2019est pas le pilier du bagne ;<br \/>\nC\u2019est l\u2019honn\u00eate homme dont la main<br \/>\nPar la plume ou le marteau gagne<br \/>\nEn suant son morceau de pain.<br \/>\nC\u2019est le p\u00e8re enfin qui travaille<br \/>\nLes jours et quelquefois les nuits.<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Eh bien ! J\u2019en suis !<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est l\u2019artiste, c\u2019est la boh\u00e8me,<br \/>\nQui sans souper rime r\u00eaveur<br \/>\nUn sonnet \u00e0 celle qu\u2019il aime,<br \/>\nTrompant l\u2019estomac par le coeur.<br \/>\nC\u2019est \u00e0 cr\u00e9dit qu\u2019il fait ripaille,<br \/>\nQu\u2019il loge et qu\u2019il a des habits.<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Eh bien ! J\u2019en suis !<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est l\u2019homme \u00e0 la face terreuse<br \/>\nAu corps maigre, \u00e0 l\u2019oeil de hibou,<br \/>\nAu bras de fer, \u00e0 main nerveuse,<br \/>\nQui sortant d\u2019on ne sait pas o\u00f9<br \/>\nToujours avec esprit vous raille<br \/>\nSe riant de votre m\u00e9pris.<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Eh bien ! J\u2019en suis !<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est l\u2019enfant que la destin\u00e9e,<br \/>\nForce \u00e0 rejeter ses haillons<br \/>\nQuand sonne sa vingti\u00e8me ann\u00e9e<br \/>\nPour entrer dans nos bataillons.<br \/>\nChair \u00e0 canon de la bataille,<br \/>\nToujours il succombe sans cris\u2026<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Eh bien ! J\u2019en suis !<\/p>\n<p>Ils fredonnaient la Marseillaise,<br \/>\nNos p\u00e8res, ces vieux vagabonds<br \/>\nAttaquant en quatre-vingt-treize<br \/>\nLes bastilles dont les canons<br \/>\nD\u00e9fendaient la vieille muraille\u2026<br \/>\nQue de trembleurs ont dit depuis :<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Eh bien ! J\u2019en suis !<\/p>\n<p>Les uns travaillent par la plume<br \/>\nLe front d\u00e9garni de cheveux<br \/>\nLes autres mart\u00e8lent l\u2019enclume<br \/>\nEt se saoulent pour \u00eatre heureux.<br \/>\nCar la mis\u00e8re en sa tenaille<br \/>\nFait saigner leurs flancs amaigris\u2026<br \/>\nC\u2019est la canaille !<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Eh bien !
